talkSMART Limited is delighted to welcome a new PR, media and events consultant aboard, namely Dilip Sarkar MBE, who brings with him a wealth of diverse experience.
For 22 years Dilip was a serving police officer, receiving various commendations for personal courage, integrity and investigative ability; he concluded his service as a detective and retired in March 2005. Far from being a typical ‘bobby’, however, Dilip is also a professional historian, whose first book was published in 1990; an expert on the Battle of Britain, the Spitfire and WW2 in general, he has now written 20 books and was a partner in Ramrod Publications 1992 – 2003, and Victory Books International since 2005. In 2003, Dilip was made an MBE for services to aviation history, and in 2006 became a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
Over the years Dilip has organised various major projects and events on both a national and international level, and has worked alongside the media from a local to international basis. Of his new association with talkSMART Limited, he said: -
